산상수훈
"Be careful
조심하라
not to do / your 'acts of righteousness'
하지 않도록 / 너의 의로운 행동들을
before men, / to be seen / by them.
사람들 앞에서 / 보여지기 위해 / 그들에 의해
If you do, / you will have no reward
만약 그렇게 한다면 / 너에게 보상이 없을 것이다
from your Father / in heaven.
너의 아버지로부터 / 하늘에 계신
"So when you give to the needy,
"그러므로 당신이 가난한 사람들에게 줄 때
do not announce it / with trumpets,
그것을 알리지 말아라 / 나팔을 가지고
as the hypocrites do
위선자들이 하는 것처럼
in the synagogues / and on the streets,
회당 안에서 / 길거리에서
to be honored / by men.
존경 받으려고 / 사람들에 의해
I tell you the truth,
내가 너희에게 진실을 말하노니
they have received / their reward in full.
그들은 이미 받았느니라 / 그들의 상을 다
But when you give to the needy,
그러나 가난한 사람들에게 줄 때
do not let your left hand know
너의 왼손이 모르게 하라
what your right hand is doing,
너의 오른손이 하는 일을
so that your giving / may be in secret.
그래서 너의 주는 것이 / 비밀에 묻혀지도록
Then your Father, / who sees / what is done / in secret,
그러면 너의 아버지께서 / 보시는 / 비밀리에 행해진 것을
will reward you.
너에게 보상을 하실 것이다.
"And when you pray,
그리고 너희는 기도할 때
do not be / like the hypocrites,
되지 말아라 / 위선자들처럼
for they love / to pray standing
왜냐하면 그들은 좋아하기 때문이다 / 서서 기도하는 것을
in the synagogues / and on the street corners
회당 안에서 / 길 모퉁이에서
to be seen / by men.
보여지기 위해 / 사람들에 의해
I tell you the truth,
내가 너희에게 진실을 말하노니
they have received / their reward in full.
그들은 이미 받았느니라 / 그들의 상을 다
But when you pray,
그러나 너는 기도할 때
go into your room,
너의 골방 안으로 들어가서
close the door
문을 닫고
and pray to your Father,
너의 아버지께 기도하라
who is unseen.
보이지 않으시는
Then your Father, / who sees / what is done / in secret,
그러면 너희의 아버지께서 / 보시는 / 비밀리에 행해지는 것을
will reward you.
너에게 보상을 하실 것이다
And when you pray,
너는 기도할 때
do not keep on babbling / like pagans,
너절하게 지껄여대지 마라 / 이교도처럼
for they think / they will be heard
왜냐하면 그들은 생각하기 때문이다 / 그들이 들은바 될 것이라고
because of their many words.
그들의 많은 말들로 인해
Do not be like them,
그들과 같이 되지 마라
for your Father knows / what you need
왜냐하면 너희의 아버지가 아시기 때문이다 / 너희들이 필요한 것을
before you ask him.
너희들이 하나님께 요청하기 전에
