"The Image of Christ"

Then / they put a crown of thorns / on his brow.

그런 다음 / 그들은 가시관을 씌웠습니다 / 그분의 이마 위에

 

And his face was bleeding.

그러자 그분의 얼굴에는 피가 흘렀습니다.

 

And they laughed at him.

그들은 그분을 비웃었습니다.

 

And they spit on him.

그들은 그분께 침을 뱉었습니다.

 

And they mocked him.

그들은 그분을 조롱했습니다.

 

When he died / on that cross, / they nailed him.

그분이 돌아가실 때 / 그 십자가위에서, / 그들은 그분을 못박았습니다.

 

They put the nails / in his hands.

그들은 못을 박았습니다 / 그분의 손에

 

And you know / what he said?

당신이 아십니까 / 그분이 뭐라고 말씀하셨는지?

 

"Forgive them.

"그들을 용서하소서.

 

They know not / what they do.

그들은 알지 못하나이다 / 자신들이 무슨 짓을 하는지

 

Forgive them."

그들을 용서하소서."

 

Could you forgive somebody / that’s putting nails / in your hands?

여러분은 용서할 수 있겠습니까  / 못을 박는            / 당신의 손에?

 

He didn’t squirm.

그분은 꿈틀거리지 않으셨습니다.

 

He didn’t yell.

그분은 고함치지 않으셨습니다.

 

He didn’t scream. 

그분은 비명 지르지 않으셨습니다.

 

He just took it.

그분은 그저 그것을 받아들이셨습니다.

 

And said, / "Lord, forgive them.

그리고 말씀하셨습니다, / "주님, 그들을 용서하소서.

 

They don’t know / what they are doing."

그들은 알지 못하나이다 / 자신들이 무슨 짓을 하고 있는지"

 

That’s how he confronted / the violence of his day.

그것이 그분이 맞섰던 방식입니다 / 그분 시대의 폭력에

 

And then on the cross

그 십자가 위에서

 

He said, / "My God, / why hast thou forsaken me?"

그분은 말씀하셨습니다, / "나의 하나님, / 왜 나를 버리시나이까?"

 

And then / he dropped his head / and said, / "It’s finished."

그런 다음 / 그분은 그분의 고개를 떨구시고 / 말씀하셨습니다, / "다 이루었다"고

 

What did he mean?

그분은 무엇을 의미하셨습니까?

 

He meant / your plan of salvation was finished.

그분은 의미하셨습니다 / 당신의 구원 계획이 완료되었다는 것을

 

God can now forgive you / of all your sins

하나님은 지금 당신을 용서하실 수 있습니다 / 당신의 모든 죄를

 

because Jesus had finished God’s plan / for your salvation.

왜냐하면 예수님께서 하나님의 계획을 완료하셨기 때문입니다 / 당신의 구원에 대한
