산상수훈
Blessed are the merciful,
긍휼히 여기는 자는 복이 있나니
for they will be shown mercy.
그들이 긍휼히 여김을 받을 것이기 때문이다
Blessed are the pure in heart,
마음이 청결한 자는 복이 있나니
for they will see God.
그들이 하나님을 볼 것이기 때문이다
Blessed are the peacemakers,
화평케 하는 사람들은 복이 있나니
for they will be called sons of God.
그들이 하나님의 자녀로 일컬음을 받을 것이기 때문이다
Blessed are those who are persecuted
핍박을 받는 사람들은 복이 있나니,
because of righteousness,
의로 인해
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
천국이 그들의 것이기 때문이다
"Blessed are you / when people insult you,
너희는 복이 있다 / 사람들이 너희를 모욕하고
persecute you
핍박하며
and falsely say all kinds of evil / against you
거짓되게 온갖 종류의 악한 말을 할 때 / 너희에 대해
because of me.
