산상수훈
"Do not think
생각하지 말아라
that I have come / to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
내가 온 것으로 / 율법이나 예언서를 폐하러
I have not come / to abolish them
나는 온 것이 아니다 / 그것들을 폐하러
but to fulfill them.
그것들을 완성하러 온 것이다
I tell you the truth,
내가 너희에게 진실을 말하노니
until heaven and earth disappear,
하늘과 땅이 없어질 때까지는
not the smallest letter,
가장 작은 글자 하나라도
not the least stroke of a pen,
팬으로 쓴 가장 작은 획이라도
will by any means disappear / from the Law
결코 없어지지 않을 것이다 / 율법으로부터
until everything is accomplished.
모든 것이 성취될 때까지는
Anyone who breaks
어기는 사람은 누구든지
one of the least of these commandments
이 율법들의 가장 작은 것의 하나라도
and teaches others / to do the same
그리고 다른 사람들을 가르치는 사람은 / 똑 같이 하라고
will be called least / in the kingdom of heaven,
가장 작은 자로 불려질 것이다 / 천국에서
but whoever practices and teaches / these commands
그러나 누구든지 실행하고 가르치는 사람은 / 이 계명들을
will be called great / in the kingdom of heaven.
큰 자로 불려질 것이다 / 천국에서
For I tell you / that unless your righteousness surpasses
내가 너희에게 말하노니 / 너희의 의가 능가하지 않는다면
that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law,
바리새인들과 율법선생들의 의를
you will certainly not enter / the kingdom of heaven.
너희는 틀림없이 들어가지 못할 것이다 / 천국에
