Twenty two years ago 

22년 전

 

I was here in Korea.

저는 여기에 한국에 있었습니다.

 

It was a Christmas time

and it was very cold.

날씨가 아주 추웠습니다.

 

I've never been so cold / in all my life.

And I toured along / what is now the DMZ.

저는 순회했었습니다 / 지금의 DMZ를

 

I was at Heartbreak ridge.

저는 애통의 능선에 있었습니다.

 

And on Heartbreak ridge

애통의 능선 위에는

 

there were twelve soldiers.

12명의 병사들이 있었습니다.

 

They were American soldiers,

그들은 미군 병사들이었는데

 

huddled together.

An enemy sneaked through the line.

적군 하나가 경계선을 뚫고 몰래 들어왔습니다.

 

He threw a hand grenade / in the middle of them.

It was going to go off / in three seconds.

A soldier saw it.

And he jumped on top of it.

And the thirteenth verse.

It says this,

"Greater love hath no man / than this,

아무도 더 큰 사랑을 가진 사람이 없나니 / 이보다

 

that a man lay down his life

곧 사람이 자기 자기의 목숨을 내 던지는 것이라

 

for his friends."

자기의 친구들을 위해."

 

Now Jesus said this

자 예수님은 이것을 말씀하셨습니다

 

just before he was going to go to the cross.

십자가로 가시려 하기 바로 직전에

 

He was on the way / to the cross

그 분은 가는 중이셨습니다 / 십자가로

 

to die / for the sins of the world.

죽기 위해 / 세상의 죄 때문에

 

He was having his last meeting

그 분은 마지막 만남을 가지는 중이었습니다

 

with his disciples and follower.

그의 제자들 및 추종자와

 

And he said,

그리고 그분은 말씀하셨습니다,

 

"I have one commandment

"나는 한 계명이 있노라

 

to leave with you."

너희에게 남길."

 

"I want to say something

"나는 너희에게 무언가 말하길 원하노라

 

I hope / you'll never forget."

내가 바라는 / 너희가 결코 잊지 않기를."

 

"Love one another."

"서로 사랑하라."

 

"Love one another."

"서로 사랑하라."

 

"Love one another."

He said,

그는 말씀하셨습니다,

 

"I have only one commandment / to leave."

"나는 단 한가지 계명이 있노라     / 남길

 

"Love one another."

He was getting ready to die.

그분께서는 죽을 준비를 하고 계셨습니다.

 

He was getting ready to leave.

그분은 떠날 준비를 하고 계셨습니다 .

 

And the last word / he said to the people

그리고 마지막 말씀은 / 그분이 사람들에게 하신

 

was "Love each other."

"서로 사랑하라" 였습니다.

 

I say / to you as Christians today,

나는 말씀 드립니다 / 그리스도인들인 여러분께 오늘

 

"Love one another."

"서로 사랑하라."

 

And that is the message

그것이 메시지입니다

 

I want to leave

내가 남기길 원하는

 

as I go back to America.

내가 미국으로 돌아갈 때

 

“Love one another / in Korea.“

"서로 사랑하라      / 한국에서."

 

If you will love each other,

만약 여러분이 서로 사랑한다면,

 

if you will be filled with the Holy Spirit,

만약 여러분이 성령으로 충만해 계신다면,

 

you have the power

여러분은 힘을 가지고 있습니다.

 

to change all of Asia.

아시아 전체를 변화시킬 수 있는

 

Everyone believes / in a supernatural being.

모든 사람들은 믿습니다 / 초자연적인 존재를

 

Everybody believes / there's God somewhere.

모든 사람들은 믿습니다 / 하나님이 어디엔가에 계시다고

 

Now the Bible tells us / what kind of God He is.

자 성경은 우리에게 말해주고 있습니다 / 그 분이 어떠한 유형의 하나님이신지

 

The Bible tells us

성경은 우리에게 말해주고 있습니다

 

that He is the creator of the whole universe.

그 분이 온 우주의 창조자이심을

 

"In the beginning

"태초에

 

God created the heavens and the earth."

하나님이 천지를 창조하시니라."

 

God is not only the creator

하나님은 창조자이실 뿐만 아니라

 

but God is a spirit, / the Bible said.

또한 하나님은 영이시라고 / 성경은 말하고 있습니다

 

Now God doesn't have a body / like yours.

자 하나님은 육체를 가지고 계시지 않습니다 / 여러분처럼.

 

God has no body.

하나님은 육체가 없습니다.

 

God is a spirit.

하나님은 영이십니다.

 

And because God is a spirit,

하나님은 영이시기 때문에

 

He can be everywhere / at the same time.

그분은 어디에나 계실 수 있습니다 / 동시에

 

God is not bound / by body / like you and I are.

하나님은 묶여 있지 않으십니다 / 육체에 의해 / 여러분과 나처럼

 

The Bible also tells us / that God never changes.

성경은 또한 우리에게 말합니다 / 하나님은 결코 변하지 않으신다고.

 

In all these many centuries,

이 모든 수세기 동안,

 

God has never changed.

하나님은 결코 변하지 않으셨습니다.

 

God never changes.

하나님은 결코 변하지 않으십니다.

 

The Bible says, / "I am the Lord God, / I change not."

성경은 말합니다,  / "나는 주 하나님이라, / 나는 변하지 않노라."

 

The Bible teaches / that God is a holy God.

성경은 가르쳐주고 있습니다 / 하나님은 거룩하신 하나님이라고.

 

The Bible teaches

성경은 가르쳐주고 있습니다

 

that His eyes are too pure / to look on inequity and sin.

그 분의 눈은 너무나 순결하셔서 / 불공정이나 죄를 간과하실 수 없다고

 

And because God is righteous and holy,

하나님은 의로우시고 거룩하시기 때문에,

 

God is also a God of judgment.

하나님은 또한 심판의 하나님이십니다.

 

There is a judgment day coming.

심판 날이 다가오고 있습니다.

 

God is a God of judgment.

하나님은 심판의 하나님이십니다.

 

Jesus said,

예수님은 말씀하셨습니다,

 

"Every idle word / that men shall speak,

"모든 무익한 말 / 사람들이 말하는,

 

they shall give an account / in the day of judgment.

그들은 설명을 해야 할 것이다 / 심판 날에."

 

And you are going to be at the judgment.

당신은 심판대에 있게 될 것입니다.

 

And you will have to give an account

그리고 당신은 설명해야만 할 것입니다

 

of every word you ever said,

당신이 지금까지 한 모든 말,

 

of everything you ever did, 

당신이 지금까지 행했던 모든 일,

 

of every thought that you ever had.

당신이 지금까지 품었던 모든 생각들에 대해.

 

But the Bible also teaches 

그러나 성경은 또한 가르치고 있습니다

 

that God is a God of love.

하나님은 사랑의 하나님이라고

 

Now the New Testament / in the Bible

현재 신약은                / 성경에

 

was originally written / in another language.

원래 기록되었습니다     / 다른 언어로

 

It was written / in Greek.

그것은 기록되었습니다 / 그리스어로

 

And Greeks had three words / for love.

그리스어는 세가지 단어들을 가지고 있었습니다 / 사랑에 대해

 

One was Eros

하나는 에로스였는데

 

which meant sensual love.

그것은 관능적인 사랑을 의미했습니다.

 

Another meant friendship love.

다른 하나는 우정의 사랑을 의미했습니다.

 

But when the Bible was written,

그러나 성경이 기록되었을 때,

 

they had to invent a new word.

그들은 새로운 한 단어를 발명해야만 했습니다.

 

A new word / to describe the love of God.

한 새로운 단어 / 하나님의 사랑을 묘사할

 

Agape love. .

아가페 사랑

 

A deep love / that you don’t know anything about

깊은 사랑    / 당신이 전혀 알 수 없는

 

unless you are Christian.

당신이 그리스도인이 아니라면

 

It is a very deep abiding love

그것은 아주 깊고 영구적인 사랑입니다

 

that none of us knows.

우리 중 어느 누구도 알지 못하는

 

Now the Bible says, / "God is love."

자 성경은 말하고 있습니다, / "하나님은 사랑이시다."라고

 

Jesus Christ was God.

예수 그리스도는 하나님이셨습니다.

 

Now the reason God created the human race / in the first place

하나님이 인류를 창조하신 이유는             / 애당초

 

was because He loves.

그분은 사랑하시는 분이기 때문이었습니다.

 

That’s the reason / He created the human race.

그것이 이유입니다  / 그분이 인류를 창조하신

 

So God took some dust / one day / and created (a) man

그래서 하나님께서 약간의 흙을 취하셔서 / 어느 날 / 남자를 창조하셨고

 

and put him / in a beautiful garden.

그를 두셨습니다 / 한 아름다운 정원에

 

And God put a man and a woman / in there.

하나님은 한 남자와 한 여자를 두셨습니다 / 그곳 안에

 

God said, / "You can have all the fruit / in the garden

하나님은 말씀하셨습니다 / 너는 모든 열매를 먹어도 좋다 / 정원 안에

 

except one tree.

한 나무를 제외하고

 

There is one tree / in the garden

한 나무가 있다    / 정원에는

 

you are not to touch.

네가 만져서는 안될

 

If you touch it, / you will die."

만약 네가 그것을 만지면, / 너는 죽을 것이다.

 

And Eve looked at it.

이브가 그것을 바라보았습니다.

 

She was very curious.

그녀는 매우 궁금했습니다.

 

How would it taste?

그거 맛이 어떨까?

 

It looked good.

그것은 보기에 좋았습니다.

 

And then the devil came

그러자 사탄이 와서

 

and whispered in her ear.

그녀의 귀에 속삭였습니다.

 

He said, / "Oh! Take some of it.

그는 말했습니다, / “오! 그거 몇 개만 먹어봐

 

It will make you very wise.

너를 아주 지혜롭게 만들어 줄 거야.

 

And it will make you like God.

너를 하나님처럼 만들어 줄 거야.

 

And when God said / that you would die

하나님께서 말씀하셨을 때 / 네가 죽을 거라고

 

if you eat it,

만약 네가 그것을 먹으면,

 

God didn't mean that.

하나님은 그럴 의도가 없으셨어.

 

So Eve could stand the temptation / no longer.

그러자 이브는 유혹을 참을 수가 없었습니다 / 더 이상.

 

And she picked up the fruit

그래서 그녀는 그 열매를 집어 들었습니다.

 

And she started eating.

그리고 먹기 시작했습니다.

 

And suddenly she got sick.

갑자기 그녀는 아팠습니다.

 

Then she gave it / to her husband.

그런 후 그녀는 그것을 주었습니다 / 그녀의 남편에게

 

She said, / "Try this fruit.

그녀는 말했습니다, / "이 열매 좀 먹어봐.

 

It tastes good.

그것은 맛있어.

 

But I don't feel so good / after I ate it."

하지만 그렇게 기분이 좋지는 않아 / 그것을 먹은 후에."

 

So the man, he ate it, too.

그래서 남자 또한 그것을 먹었습니다.

 

And he got sick.

그리고 그는 아프게 되었습니다.

 

And every person since then / has been sick of that disease.

The fruit didn't make them sick.

그 열매가 그들을 아프게 만든 것은 아니었습니다

 

It was the fact

그것은 그 사실이었습니다

 

that they had disobeyed God / and broken God's law

그들이 하나님께 불순종하고     / 하나님의 법을 어긴 것이

 

that made them sick.

그들을 아프게 만든

 

And the whole human race has that disease.

전 인류가 그 질병을 가지고 있습니다

 

We are in rebellion against God.

우리는 하나님을 거역하고 있습니다

 

The Bible says, / "We've all sinned

성경은 말합니다, / "우리 모두는 죄를 범하였고

 

and come short of the glory of God."

하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하고 있다”라고

 

And the Bible says,

성경은 말합니다,

 

"The result of sin is death."

“죄의 결과는 사망이다”라고

 

And the Bible says,

성경은 말합니다,

 

"There are three kinds of death."

“세 가지 종류의 죽음이 있다”라고

 

The death of your body.

당신의 육체의 죽음

 

All of you are going to die.

여러분 모두는 죽게 될 것입니다

 

You know that.

여러분은 그것을 알고 있습니다

 

But you can also be alive

하지만 당신은 또한 살아있을 수 있습니다

 

when your soul (is) dead.

당신의 영혼이 죽어 있을 때

 

In this great crowd today / there are many people

오늘 이 거대한 군중속에    / 많은 사람들이 있습니다

 

whose bodies are alive / but your soul is dead / toward God.

육체가 살아있는 / 하지만 당신의 영혼은 죽어 있습니다 / 하나님을 향하여

 

And you don't have peace.

그리고 당신은 평화가 없습니다

 

You don't have joy.

당신은 기쁨이 없습니다

 

You don't have happiness.

당신은 행복이 없습니다

 

You don't have assurance

당신은 보장이 없습니다

 

that you are going to heaven.

당신이 천국에 갈 거라는

 

And you don't know / what's wrong.

그리고 당신은 모릅니다 / 무엇이 잘못됐는지

 

It's your soul / that’s dead

당신의 영혼입니다 / 죽어있는 것은

 

and your soul needs God.

그리고 당신의 영혼은 하나님이 필요합니다

 

But there is the third kind of death.

그러나 세 번째 종류의 죽음이 있습니다

 

When your body dies,

당신의 육체가 죽을 때

 

your soul goes out to live / on and on.

당신의 영혼은 나가서 삽니다 / 계속

 

But it's separated from God.

그러나 그것은 하나님과 분리되어있습니다

 

And the Bible says,

성경은 말합니다,

 

"The future life becomes / for that soul

"미래의 삶은 될 것입니다    / 그러한 영혼을 위한

 

weeping and wailing, / and gnashing of teeth."

울음과 통곡,             / 이를 갊이

 

The Bible has many words / to describe the future life

성경에는 많은 단어들이 있습니다 / 미래의 삶을 묘사하는

 

for the lost soul.

잃어버린 영혼을 위한  

 

The Bible uses the word, 'perished'.

성경은 “멸망한” 이라는 단어를 사용합니다

 

The Bible uses the word, 'condemned'.

성경은 “유죄받은" 이라는 단어를 사용합니다

 

The Bible uses the word, 'punishment'.

성경은 “형벌”이라는 단어를 사용합니다

 

The Bible uses the word, 'everlasting fire'.

성경은 “영원한 불”이라는 단어를 사용합니다

 

The Bible uses the word, 'hell'.

성경은 “지옥”이라는 단어를 사용합니다.

 

Whatever it is, / it's a terrible thing.

그것이 무엇이든  / 그것은 끔찍한 것입니다.

 

"What shall it profit a man

그것이 사람에게 무슨 유익이 되겠습니까

 

If he gains(ed) the whole world

만약 사람이 온 세상을 얻고

 

and loses his own soul?"

자신의 영혼을 잃는다면

 

But the Bibles tells us / that God sent His son.

하지만 성경은 우리에게 말하고 있습니다 / 하나님께서 그분의 아들을 보내셨다고

 

God sent His son / to rescue the world

하나님은 그분의 아들을 보내셨습니다 / 세상을 구하기 위해

 

in spite of our rebellion, / in spite of our sin.

우리의 반역에도 불구하고,    / 우리의 죄에도 불구하고

 

God said, / "I love you.

하나님이 말씀하셨습니다, "/ 나는 너를 사랑한다.

 

I love human race.

나는 인류를 사랑한다.

 

I want to forgive them of their sins."

나는 그들의 죄를 용서하길 원한다."

 

But how could God do it?

하지만 어떻게 하나님은 그것을 할 수 있었을까요?

 

He said, / "If you rebel against me,

그분은 말씀하셨습니다, / "만약 너희가 나에게 반역하면

 

you are going to die."

너희는 죽을 것이다."

 

He had to keep His word.

그분은 그분의 말씀을 지키셔야 했습니다.

 

or He would have been a liar.

그렇지 않았다면 그분은 거짓말쟁이가 되셨을 것입니다.

 

So what did He do?

그래서 그분은 무엇을 하셨습니까?

 

His son volunteered / to come.

그분의 아들은 자원하셨습니다 / 오시는 것을

 

He came / and lived among us.

그분은 오셔서 / 우리 가운데 거하셨습니다

 

Jesus Christ was the Son of God.

예수 그리스도는 하나님의 아들이셨습니다.

 

He claimed to be God / in the flesh.

그는 하나님이라고 주장하셨습니다 / 육체에 거하시는

 

With these words / Jesus Christ set himself apart

이러한 말씀들로    / 예수그리스도께서는 자신을 구별 시키셨습니다

 

from every other human being / that ever lived.

모든 다른 인간들과               / 지금까지 살았던

 

He made the blind to see

그분은 장님을 보게 하셨고

 

and the deaf to hear.

귀머거리를 듣게 하셨습니다

 

But the real reason he came / was not to heal.

하지만 그분이 오신 진정한 이유는 / 치유하기 위한 것이 아니었습니다

 

The real reason that he came / was not to teach.

그분이 오신 진정한 이유는      / 가르치시기 위한 것이 아니었습니다

 

He came to die / because on the cross

그 분은 죽기 위해 오셨습니다 / 왜냐하면 십자가 위에서

 

he took your sins, / your death, / your judgment, / your hell.

그분은 당신의 죄와, / 당신의 죽음, / 당신의 심판, / 당신의 지옥을 담당하셨기 때문입니다

 

And we see him / on the cross.

우리는 그분을 바라봅니다 / 십자가위에 계신

 

A cross was a Roman method of crucifixion / in the old age.

십자가는 로마의 십자가형 수단이었습니다        / 옛날 시대의

 

They took a man / and took his clothes off him.

그들은 한 남자를 데려다가 / 그의 옷을 벗겼습니다

 

They took long leather whips / with steel pallets / on the end

그들은 가죽 채찍을 취해         / 철공이 달린       / 끝에

 

and beat him / till his back was bleeding.

그분을 때렸습니다 / 그분의 등에서 피가 흐를 때까지

 

They put a crown of thorn on his brow / till his face was bleeding.

그들은 그분의 이마에 가시관을 씌웠습니다  / 그 분의 얼굴에 피가 흘릴 때까지

 

They put spikes in his hands

그들은 그 분의 손에 대못을 박았습니다

 

and hung him / between heaven and earth.

그리고 그 분을 매달았습니다 / 하늘과 땅 사이에

 

And he hung in the hot sun.

그 분은 매달리셨습니다 / 뜨거운 태양 속에

 

And while on that cross, / he said, / "Forgive them.

그 십자가 위에 있는 동안, / 그분은 말씀하셨습니다 / “그들을 용서해주소서

 

They know not / what they do."

그들은 알지 못하나이다 / 자기네가 무슨 짓을 하는지"

 

While on that cross, / thousands of angels pull their swords

그 십자가 위에 있는 동안, / 수천의 천사들이 그들의 칼을 빼 들고

 

ready to come and rescue him.

와서 그분을 구출할 태세였습니다.

 

He said, / "No, I'm dying / for the sins of the world."

그분은 말씀하셨습니다, / "아니다, 나는 죽는 것이다 / 세상의 죄를 위해."

 

And he loves you so much

그 분은 당신을 너무나 사랑하셔서

 

that if you had been the only person / in the world,

만약 당신이 유일한 사람이었더라도      / 세상에서

 

he would have died / for you.

그분은 죽으셨을 것입니다 / 당신을 위해서

 

"Greater love hath no man / than that he lay down his life

아무도 더 큰 사랑을 가진 사람이 없습니다 / 자신의 목숨을 내던지는 것 보다

 

for his friend."

그의 친구를 위해

 

You are the friend of Jesus.

당신은 예수님의 친구입니다.

 

He lay down his life / for you.

그분의 자신의 생명을 내던지셨습니다 / 당신을 위해

 

But then something else happened.

그러나 그리고 나서 어떤 일이 일어났습니다.

 

They buried him.

그들은 그분을 매장했습니다.

 

They said, / “We are finished with him"

그들은 말했습니다, / “우리는 그분과 끝났어"

 

But on the third day, / he rose again.

하지만 제 삼 일째 되는 날, / 그분은 다시 일어나셨습니다

 

He is alive.

그분은 살아계십니다.

 

Right now / he is living.

지금 바로 / 그분은 살아계십니다

 

And some day, / the Bible says, / he's coming back.

그리고 언젠가, / 성경은 말하고 있습니다, / 그분이 다시 오실 것이라고

 

The Bible says, / "The Lord himself shall descend

성경은 말하고 있습니다, / "주님께서 직접 내려오실 것을

 

from heaven / with a shout.“

하늘로부터   / 큰 소리와 함께

 

Some day / we will look up.

언젠가     / 우리는 올려보게 될 것입니다

 

And riding on a white horse / will be the King of kings

백마를 타고 오시는 분은       / 왕의 왕

 

and Lord of the lords, / our Lord Jesus Christ.

주의 주,                / 우리 주 예수 그리스도이실 것입니다.

 

And those of you that know Christ,

여러분 중 그리스도를 아는 사람들

 

those of you that have given your life / to him,

여러분 중 여러분의 삶을 드린 분 들 / 그분께  

 

you are going to reign / with him.

여러분들은 다스릴 것입니다 / 그분과 함께

 

What a glorious future we have!

얼마나 영광스러운 미래를 우리는 가지고 있습니까!

 

Those of us that know Jesus Christ.

예수 그리스도를 아는 우리들

 

What does he want you to do?

그분은 당신이 무엇을 하기를 원하십니까?

 

First. / He wants you to repent / of your sin.

첫째. 그분은 당신이 회개하기를 원하십니다 / 당신의 죄에 대해

 

The Scripture says,

성경은 말합니다,

 

"God now commanded all men / everywhere / to repent."

"하나님께서 이제 어디든지 모든 사람에게 명하셨습니다 / 회개하라고

 

If we go to heaven,

만약에 우리가 천국에 가려고 한다면,

 

If we are to be saved,

만약에 우리가 구원을 받으려 한다면,

 

If our sins are to be forgiven,

만약 우리의 죄를 사함 받으려 한다면,

 

we have to repent.

우리는 회개해야 합니다.

 

Americans have to repent.

미국인들도 회개해야 합니다

 

The Russians have to repent.

러시아인들도 회개해야 합니다

 

The Chinese have to repent.

중국인들도 회개해야 합니다

 

The Europeans have to repent.

유럽인들도 회개해야 합니다

 

The Koreans have to repent.

한국인들도 회개해야 합니다

 

There's only one way / to the cross.

오직 한길 만 있습니다 / 십자가로 가는

 

That's by the road of repentance.

그것은 바로 회개의 길에 의해서입니다

 

And repentance means / that you confess / that you are a sinner

회개는 의미합니다        / 당신이 고백하는 것을 / 당신이 죄인이라고

 

and you are willing to turn / from your sin.

그리고 당신이 기꺼이 돌이키는 것을 / 당신의 죄로부터

 

It also means / that by faith / you receive Christ / into your heart.

그것은 의미합니다/ 믿음으로/ 당신이 그리스도를 영접하는 것을/당신의 마음속으로

 

The Bible says,

성경은 말합니다

 

"Without faith, / it is impossible / to please Him."

"믿음이 없이는, / 불가능하다        / 그분을 기쁘시게 하는 것은."

 

You come / by faith.

당신은 옵니다 / 믿음으로

 

You cannot buy your way.

You cannot work your way.

당신의 행위로 그 길을 갈수는 없습니다

 

You come / by simple childlike faith

당신은 옵니다 / 단순한 어린아이와 같은 믿음으로

 

like a little child would come / to his father.

어린아이가 오는 것처럼          / 그의 아버지에게

 

The poor come / by faith.

가난한 사람들도 옵니다 / 믿음으로

 

The rich come / by faith.

부자들도 옵니다 / 믿음으로

 

The simple ordinary people come / by faith.

단순하고 평범한 사람들도 옵니다     / 믿음으로

 

The rich and the powerful come / by faith.

부자들과 권세가들도 옵니다        / 믿음으로

 

Thirdly, / you must openly confess Christ.

셋째로   / 당신은 공개적으로 그리스도를 시인해야 합니다

 

"Whosoever therefore shall confess me / before men

“그러므로 누구든지 나를 시인 하면          / 사람들 앞에서

 

him will I confess / before my Father / which is in heaven."

그를 나는 시인할 것이다 / 나의 아버지 앞에서 / 하늘에 계신”

 

That's why / I ask people / to come forward / in my meetings

그것이 바로 이유입니다 / 제가 사람들에 요청하는 / 앞으로 나오라고 / 제 집회에서

 

or stand up / in my meetings.

혹은 일어서라고 / 제 집회에서

 

All the people / that Jesus called / in the Bible,/ he called publicly.

모든 사람들 / 예수님이 부르신 / 성경에서, / 그 분은 공개적으로 부르셨습니다

 

You must be willing / to take a public stand / for Christ.

당신은 기꺼이 / 공개적인 입장을 취하여야 합니다 / 그리스도를 위한

 

Will you do that today?

당신은 오늘 그렇게 하시겠습니까?

 

What a moment / to receive Christ!

이 얼마나 굉장한 순간입니까 / 그리스도를 영접하는!

 

Let him come / and change your life.

그분이 오셔서 / 당신의 인생을 바꾸도록 하십시오

 

Now it will cost you something.

자 그것은 당신에게 뭔가 대가를 치르게 할 것입니다

 

You can't take your sins / with you.

당신은 당신의 죄를 지니고 갈 수 없습니다 / 당신과 함께

 

You have to give up all of the gods

당신은 모든 우상들을 버리고

 

and turn to Jesus Christ only / as your savior.

예수 그리스도께로만 돌아서야 합니다 / 당신의 구세주로서

 

If you'll do that, / he’ll come to live / in your heart.

만약 당신이 그렇게 하신 다면, / 그분은 오셔서 사실 것입니다 / 당신의 가슴속에

 

He will give you a new love / for everyone.

그분은 당신에게 새로운 사랑을 주실 것입니다 / 모든 사람에 대한

 

I’m going to ask you today / to receive Christ.

나는 당신에게 오늘 요청할 것입니다 / 그리스도를 영접하라고

 

I’m going to ask you / to do it publicly.

나는 당신에게 요청할 것입니다 / 공개적으로 그렇게 하라고

 

I’m going to ask you / to stand up / right where you are.

나는 당신에게 요청할 것입니다 / 일어서라고 / 당신이 있는 바로 그 자리에서

 

Stand up / and say today,

일어서서 / 오늘 말씀하십시오,

 

"I want to receive Christ."
"나는 그리스도를 영접하길 원합니다"라고

 

You may be a member of the church.

당신은 아마도 교회의 일원일 수도 있습니다

 

But you are not sure / that Christ lives / in your heart.

하지만 당신은 확신하지 못하고 있습니다 / 그리스도가 사신다는 것을 / 당신의 가슴속에

 

But you want to be sure.

하지만 당신은 확신하기 원합니다

 

I want you to stand up / and say today,

나는 당신이 일어서서    / 오늘 말하기 원합니다,

 

"I'm willing to turn / from my sins.

나는 기꺼이 돌이키겠습니다 / 죄로부터

 

I want Jesus / in my heart."

나는 예수님을 원합니다 / 내 가슴속에"라고

 

Stand right where you are. / And keep standing

지금 당신이 있는 바로 그 자리에서 일어서십시오 / 그리고 계속 서 계십시오

 

and we are going to have a prayer / with you.

우리는 기도를 할 것입니다            / 당신과 함께

 

And say / on this day, / this historic day,

말하십시오 / 오늘,      / 이 역사적인 날에,

 

"I receive Jesus Christ / openly and publicly."

나는 예수 그리스도를 영접합니다 / 숨김없이 공개적으로"라고

 

And a counselor will come to you / where you are.

그러면 한 상담자가 당신에게 찾아올 것입니다 / 당신이 있는 그 자리에

 

Now there are four things very important.

자 4가지 아주 중요한 것들이 있습니다

 

First, / read your Bible.

첫째로, / 당신의 성경을 읽으세요

 

We are going to give you / a part of the Bible / today / to read.

우리는 당신에게 드릴 것입니다 / 성경의 일부분을  / 오늘  / 읽을

 

Read it, / study it, / and memorize.

그것을 읽으시고, / 연구하시고, / 암기하세요

 

Secondly, / pray.

둘째로,    / 기도하세요

 

God will answer your prayer.

하나님은 당신의 기도에 응답하실 것입니다

 

Third, / witness for Christ. 

셋째로, / 그리스도를 위해 증거하세요

 

Win others to Christ.

다른 사람들을 그리스도께로 인도하세요

 

Tell everybody / about Jesus Christ.

모든 사람에게 말하세요 / 예수 그리스도에 관하여

 

Fourthly, / get into the church. 

넷째로,   / 교회에 가세요

 

There are fifteen hundred churches / in Seoul.

1500개의 교회들이 있습니다           / 서울에

 

Get into a church / and get to work / for Christ.

교회에 가셔서      / 일하십시오       / 그리스도를 위해

 

And Christ will live / in your heart.

그러면 그리스도께서 거하실 것입니다 / 당신의 마음속에

 

The Holy Spirit will guide you / step by step, / if you are ready.

성령께서 당신을 인도해 주실 것입니다 / 한걸음 한걸음씩, / 당신이 준비가 되어 있다면

 

I’m going to ask / that we have a prayer.

나는 요청할 것입니다 / 우리가 기도하자고

 

I want all of you to pray this prayer / after me.

나는 여러분 모두가 이 기도를 하기 원합니다 / 저를 따라서

 

Oh! God.

오! 하나님

 

I am a sinner.

나는 죄인입니다

 

I’m sorry for my sin.

나의 죄에 대해 애통합니다

 

I’m willing to turn / from my sin.

나는 기꺼이 돌이키겠습니다 / 나의 죄로부터

 

I receive Christ / as my savior.

나는 그리스도를 영접합니다 / 나의 구세주로

 

I confess him / as Lord.

나는 그분을 고백합니다 / 주님으로

 

From this moment on, / I want to follow him.

이 순간부터 계속,       / 나는 그분을 따르길 원합니다

 

In Christ’s name. / Amen.

그리스도의 이름으로 기도합니다 / 아멘
