70)“I chose the twelve of you, / didn’t I?

“내가 너희 열둘을 선택하였다,   / 그렇지 않느냐?

 

Yet one of you is a devil!”

그러나 너희 중에 한 사람은 마귀니라?"

 

71)He was talking about Judas, / the son of Simon Iscariot.

그분은 유다에 관하여 말씀하신 것이었다, / 가룟 시몬의 아들

For Judas, / even though he was one of the twelve disciples,

이는 유다가, / 비록 그가 열두 제자들 중 하나였지만,

 

was going to betray him.

배반할 것이었기 때문이었다

 

1)After this, / Jesus traveled / in Galilee;

이 일 후에,  / 예수님은 다니셨다 / 갈릴리에;

 

he did not want to travel / in Judea,

그분은 다니기를 원치 않으셨다 / 유대에,

 

because the Jewish authorities there / were wanting to kill him.

왜냐하면 그곳 유대 권력자들이 / 그분을 죽이기 원하고 있었기 때문이었다

 

2)The time for the Festival of Shelters / was near,

초막절 축제 시기가                       / 가까웠다

What was he?

그분은 뭐 하는 사람이었습니까?

 

That’s the question.

그것이 의문입니다

 

Jesus Christ. / Who are you?

예수 그리스도시여, / 당신은 누구십니까?

 

Who is Jesus?

예수님은 누구십니까?

 

We can’t escape him.

우리는 그분에게서 벗어날 수 없습니다

 

We try to run from him.

우리는 그분에게서 도망가려고 애씁니다

 

But there he is.

하지만 그분은 거기 계십니다

 

He keeps popping up / everywhere.

그분은 계속 불쑥 불쑥 나타십니다 / 사방에서

 

Our greatest philosophers write / about him.

우리의 가장 위대한 철학자들이 씁니다 / 그분에 관하여

 

Our greatest historians write / about him.

우리의 가장 위대한 역사학자들이 씁니다 / 그분에 관하여

 

Our greatest poems and plays / are about him.

우리의 가장 위대한 시들과 연극들은 / 그분에 관한 것입니다.

 

Our greatest architectures / are about him.

우리의 가장 위대한 건축물들은 / 그분에 관한 것입니다

 

Well, we know some things / about him.

우리는 몇 가지는 알고 있습니다 / 그분에 관하여

 

We know / he was a man.

우리는 알고 있습니다 / 그분이 남자였다는 것을

 

Jesus was completely human.

예수님은 온전히 인간이셨습니다

 

He was a representative of man.

그분은 인간의 대표셨습니다

 

Because the Bible says, / he was identified,

왜냐하면 성경은 말하고 있기 때문입니다 / 그분은 동일시되며

 

he was numbered / with the transgressors.

그분은 계수되었다고 / 죄인들과
