58)This, then, is the bread / that came down from heaven;

그러면 이것은 빵이다 / 하늘에서 내려온

 

it is not like the bread / that your ancestors ate,

그것은 빵과 같지 않다 / 너희 조상들이 먹었던

 

They later died,

그들은 후에 죽었다

 

but those who eat this bread / will live forever.”

하지만 이 빵을 먹는 자들은 / 영원히 살 것이다"

 

59)Jesus said this / as he taught /in the synagogue/ in Capernaum.

예수님은 이 말씀을 하셨다 / 가르치실 때 / 회당에서 / 가버나움에 있는

 

60)Many of his followers heard this / and said,

그분의 추종자들 중 많은 수가 이것을 듣고 / 말했다,

 

"This teaching is too hard.

"이 가르침은 너무나 어렵다.

 

Who can listen to it?"

누가 그것을 들을 수 있겠는가?"

And the question that we all ask today / is this question.

오늘 우리 모두가 묻는 질문은              / 이 질문입니다

 

“What think ye of Christ?”

"여러분은 그리스도에 대해 어떻게 생각하십니까?"

 

“Who is he?”

"그분은 누구십니까?"

 

“Who is this Jesus?”

"이 예수님은 누구십니까?"

 

You remember that day/when Saul who was persecuting Christians

당신은 그 날을 기억합니다 / 그리스도인들을 박해하였던 사울이

 

was on the road to Damascus.

다마스커스로 가고 있던

 

And the blinding light came / and he fell down.

눈부신 빛이 나타났고          / 그는 쓰러졌습니다

 

And the first question he asked / was "Who art thou, Lord?"

그가 했던 첫 질문은           / "주여, 당신은 누구십니까?"였습니다

 

Is he just a revolutionary hero?  

그분은 그저 혁명적 영웅입니까?

 

Or is he something more?

아니면 그분은 뭔가 그 이상입니까?

 

He only lived thirty three years.

그분은 단 33년만 사셨습니다

 

He never traveled / more than a hundred miles.

그분은 결코 다녀 보신적이 없습니다 / 백마일 이상을

 

He never had any formal education.

그분은 결코 어떠한 정식 교육도 받으신 적이 없습니다
