61) Without being told, / Jesus knew

듣지 않으시고도        / 예수님은 알고 계셨다.

 

that they were grumbling / about this.

그들이 불평하고 있다고   / 이것에 대하여

 

"Does this make you want to give up?

“이것이 너희로 하여금 포기하고 싶도록 만드느냐?”

 

62) Suppose, then, / that you should see the Son of Man

그렇다면 가정해 보아라 / 너희가 인자를 보는 것을

 

go back up to the place / where he was before?

다시 올라가는         / 이전에 그가 있었던 곳으로?

 

63) What gives life / is God's Spirit;

생명을 주는 것은  / 하나님의 영이다;

 

human power / is of no use / at all.

인간의 힘은   / 쓸모가 없느니라 / 전혀

 

The words I have spoken to you / bring God's life-giving Spirit.

내가 너희에게 한 말들은 / 생명을 주시는 하나님의 영을 모셔오게 한다.

 

64) Yet some of you do not believe.”

하지만 너희 중 몇은 믿지 않고 있다”

 

(Jesus knew / from the very beginning

(예수님은 알고 계셨다 / 맨 처음부터

 

who were the ones that would not believe

믿지 않을 자들이 누구이며

 

and which one would betray him.)

어느 사람이 자기를 배반할 것인지)

And yet two thousand years later, / an entire generation

하지만 2천년 후에,               / 온통 한 세대가

 

is talking about Jesus Christ.

예수 그리스도에 관해 얘기하고 있습니다.

 

Some say / that he was a mad man.

어떤 사람들은 말합니다 / 그분은 미치광이였다고

 

Some of the people of his day said / he was mad

그분 시대 사람들 중 몇몇은 말했습니다 / 그분은 미쳤다고

 

There were others / that said / he was a revolutionary.

다른 사람들이 있었습니다 / 말했던 / 그 분은 혁명가였다고

 

He came to lead a revolution.

그분은 혁명을 주도하러 오셨다고

 

Was he a revolutionary?

그분이 혁명가였습니까?

 

In the sense that he changed men’s lives, / he was.

그분이 사람들의 인생을 변화시켰다는 점에서 / 그분은 그랬습니다.

 

But he naver led a revolution / against Rome.

하지만 그분은 결코 혁명을 주도하지 않으셨습니다 / 로마에 대항하는

 

He naver led a revolution / against the existing authorities.

그분은 결코 혁명을 주도하지 않으셨습니다 / 기존의 권위에 대항하는

 

He’s building another kingdom.

그 분은 다른 왕국을 건설하고 계셨습니다.

 

He’s building an eternal kingdom.

그 분은 영원한 왕국을 건설하고 계셨습니다.

 

And then / there are some people

그 다음  / 사람들이 있었습니다.

 

that say / that he was the first hippy.

말하는  / 그분이 최초의 히피였다고

 

They said / he had long hair,

그들은 말했습니다 / 그분은 머리가 기셨고

 

went around / with his disciples / in a commune.

돌아 다니셨다고 / 그이 제자들과 / 공동체를 이루어
