"The Image of Christ"

We know / that he was hungry.

우리는 압니다 / 그 분이 배고프셨다는 것을

 

We know / he got thirsty.

우리는 압니다 / 그 분이 목이 마르셨다는 것을

 

We know / he got tired.

우리는 압니다 / 그분이 피곤해지셨음을

 

We know / that he had the joys of friendship.

우리는 압니다 / 그분이 우정의 기쁨들을 가지고 계셨음을

 

We know / that he wept / at the tomb of a dead loved one.

우리는 압니다 / 그분이 우셨음을 / 사랑하는 한 죽은이의 무덤에서

 

We know / that he had all the characteristics of a man.

우리는 압니다 / 그분이 인간의 모든 특성들을 다 가지고 계셨다는 것을

 

And yet very interestingly / the Bible says

하지만 아주 흥미롭게도      / 성경은 말합니다

 

that he never committed a sin.

그분은 결코 죄를 짓지 않으셨다고

All of us are sinners.

우리 모두는 죄인들입니다

 

But Jesus was tempted / in every point / like us.

그러나 예수님은 유혹을 받으셨습니다 / 모든 점에서 / 우리처럼

 

He went through every temptation 

그분은 모든 유혹을 겪으셨습니다

 

you’ve ever been through.

당신이 지금까지 겪었던

 

There isn’t a trial or a testing or a temptation

시련이나 시험이나 유혹은 하나도 없습니다

 

that Jesus has not been through / before you.

예수님이 겪지 않으신               / 당신보다 앞서

 

And He resisted them / and overcame them all.

그분께서는 그것들을 대적하셨고 / 그것들 모두를 이겨내셨습니다

 

He was a man / just like you.

그분은 사람이셨습니다 / 당신과 똑 같은

 

But he was more than that.

하지만 그분은 그 이상이셨습니다

 

He claimed / to be the unique, / only begotten, / incarnate son of God.

그분은 주장하셨습니다 / 유일하고, / 단 하나 낳은, / 육신을 가지신 하나님의 아들이심을

 

In fact, / he claimed pre-existence.

사실,   / 그분은 미리 존재하심을 주장하셨습니다
