2) From the very beginning /
바로 그 태초부터 /

the Word was / with God.
그 말씀은 계셨다 / 하나님과 함께

3) Through him / God made all things;
그분을 통해 / 하나님께서 만물을 지으셨다

not one thing / in all creation
어느 것 하나도 / 모든 피조물 중 /

was made / without him.
지어진 것이 없었다 / 그분 없이

 

4) The Word was the source of life,    

그 말씀은 생명의 근원이었으며

 

and this life brought light / to people. 

이 생명은 빛을 가져다 주었다 / 사람들에게

 

5) The light shines / in the darkness,  

그 빛은 비추고 있으며 / 어두움 속에

 

and the darkness has never put it out.

그 어두움은 결코 그것을 끄지 못했다.

 

6) God sent his messenger, 

하나님은 그의 사자를 보내셨다,

 

a man named John,  

요한이라는 사람을

 

7) who came to tell people / about the light,

그는 사람들에게 말해주러 왔는데 / 그 빛에 관해

 

so that all should hear the message

모든 사람들이 그 메시지를 듣고

 

and believe.

 

믿게 하려는 것이었다.

As I studied my Bible,

성경을 공부하면서,

 

I realized / the concept of crossing over,

나는 깨달았습니다 / 건너간다라는 개념이

 

now look, / of stepping over the line 

자 보세요, / 경계선을 넘어선다는 것의 

 

is mentioned / at least sixty over times

언급되고 있는 것을 / 적어도 60회 이상

 

in a Holy Scripture.

성경에서

 

That means / that God wants us to cross over / again and again. 

그것은 의미합니다 / 하나님은 우리가 건너가기를 원하시다는 것을 / 자꾸 자꾸

 

Cross over what?

무엇을 건너가는 것입니까?

 

Crossing over mental barriers,

정신적 장벽을 넘고,

 

crossing over cultural barriers,

문화적 장벽을 넘고,

 

crossing over spiritual barriers

영적 장벽을 넘는 것

 

because God has the greatest spiritual horizons and territories

왜냐하면 하나님은 가장 거대한 영적 지평선과 영토들을 가지고 계시기 때문입니다

 

for you and I to venture into.

당신과 내가 담대히 들어갈
