48) “How do you know me?”

"당신이 어떻게 나를 아십니까?"

 

"I saw you

"내가 너를 보았노라

 

when you were under the fig tree

네가 무화과 나무 아래에 있을 때

 

before Philip called you.”

빌립이 너를 부르기 전"

 

49) “Teacher, / you are the Son of God!

"선생이여,     / 당신은 하나님의 아들이십니다!

 

You are the King of Israel!”

당신은 이스라엘의 왕이십니다!"

 

50) “Do you believe

"너는 믿느냐

 

just because I told you

그저 내가 네게 말해서

 

I saw you

내가 너를 보았다고

 

when you were under the fig tree?

네가 무화과 나무 아래에 있을 때에

 

You will see / much greater things / than this!”

너는 보게 될 것이다 / 훨씬 더 큰 일들을 / 이것 보다!"

 

51) “I am telling you the truth:

"내가 진실을 너에게 이르노니:

 

you will see / heaven open

너는 보게 될 것이다 / 하늘이 열리고

 

and God’s angels going up

하나님의 천사들이 오르락

 

and coming down

내리락 하는 것을

 

on the Son of Man.”

He threw a hand grenade / in the middle of them.

그는 수류탄을 한 발 던졌습니다 / 그들 한 가운데로

 

It was going to go off / in three seconds.

그것은 터질 것이었습니다 / 3초 후면

 

A soldier saw it.

한 병사가 그것을 보았습니다

 

And he jumped on top of it.

그는 그 위로 몸을 날렸습니다.

 

He grabbed it,

그는 그것을 움켜쥐고,

 

hold it to his heart.

그것을 자기 가슴에 껴안았습니다.

 

It exploded.

그것은 폭발했습니다.

 

But his friends were saved.

그러나 그의 친구들은 목숨을 건졌습니다.

 

They took / what was remaining of his body / back to America.

그들은 가져갔습니다 / 남아있는 그의 유해를  / 미국으로

 

And when they held a memorial service / for that soldier,

그들이 추도식을 열었을 때                  / 그 병사를 위한

 

the clergyman took the text / that I want to take today.

목사님은 본문을 선택하셨습니다 / 내가 오늘 택하기 원하는
