others worked there, / and you profit / from their work.

다른 이들이 그곳에서 일을 했고,/ 너희는 이익을 얻는다/ 그들의 수고로부터

 

39) Many of the Samaritans / in that town / believed in Jesus

사마리아인중 많은 이들이      / 그 마을에    / 예수님을 믿었다

 

because the woman had said,

그 여인이 말한 것 때문에

 

"He told me everything / I have ever done."

"그분은 내게 모든 것을 말하셨습니다 / 내가 지금까지 해왔던."

 

40) So when the Samaritans came to him,

그래서 사마리아인들이 그분께 찾아왔을 때

 

they begged him / to stay with them,

그들은 그분에게 간청했다 / 그들과 함께 머무시도록

 

and Jesus stayed there / two days

그래서 예수님은 거기에 머무셨다 / 이틀간

 

41) Many more believed / because of his message,

더 많은 사람들이 믿었다  / 그분의 말씀으로 인하여

 

42) and they told the woman, 

그들은 그 여인에게 말했다,

 

"We believe now, not because of what you said,

"우리는 이제 믿는다, / 당신이 말한 것 때문이 아니라

 

but because we ourselves have heard him,

우리가 직접 그분의 말씀을 들었기 때문에

 

and we know / that he really is the Savior of the world."

그리고 우리는 안다 / 그분이 참으로 세상의 구세주이심을."

“Sometimes, it's boring and dull.

"때때로, / 그것은 지루하고 따분합니다.

 

And I forget to do it.“

그리고 저는 그것을 잊어버립니다"

 

“I go through the motions of Bible study.

"저는 성경 공부하는 시늉은 합니다

 

 But the unction's not there.

하지만 감격이 거기에는 없어요

 

The reality is not there."

현실감이 거기엔 없어요."

 

Prayer, / ladies and gentlemen, / is as ordinary

기도라는 것은, / 신사숙녀 여러분, / 일상적인 것입니다

 

as picking up a telephone / and as terrifying as discovering

전화기를 집어 드는 만큼     / 발견하는 것 같이 겁나는 것입니다

 

that Almighty God / is on the other end of the call.

전능하신 하나님께서 / 통화의 저쪽 끝에 계시다는 것을
