"요한복음 3:20-3:22 Good News Bible"

 

20) Those who do evil things / hate the light

악한 일들을 행하는 자들은      / 빛을 미워하며

 

and will not come to the light,

빛으로 나오려 하지 않을 것이니

 

because they do not want / their evil deeds to be shown up.

이는 그들이 원치 않음이니라 / 그들의 악행이 들어나기를

 

21) But those who do what is true / come to the light

하지만 진리를 행하는 자들은         / 빛을 향해 나오나니

 

in order that the light may show 

빛이 보여 주기 위해

 

that what they did / was in obedience to God.

그들이 행했던 것이 / 하나님께 순종하는 것이었음을

 

22) After this, /
이 일이 있은 후/

Jesus and his disciples went /
예수님과 그 분의 제자들은 갔는데 /

to the province of Judea, /
유대 지방으로 /

where / he spent some time / with them /
거기서 / 그 분은 시간을 보내셨다 / 그들과 함께 /

and baptized.
그리고 세례를 주셨다.

They put a crown of thorn on his brow / till his face was bleeding.

그들은 그분의 이마에 가시관을 씌웠습니다  / 그 분의 얼굴에 피가 흘릴 때까지

 

They put spikes in his hands

그들은 그 분의 손에 대못을 박았습니다

 

and hung him / between heaven and earth.

그리고 그 분을 매달았습니다 / 하늘과 땅 사이에

 

And he hung in the hot sun.

그 분은 매달리셨습니다 / 뜨거운 태양 속에

 

And while on that cross, / he said, / "Forgive them.

그 십자가 위에 있는 동안, / 그분은 말씀하셨습니다 / “그들을 용서해주소서

 

They know not / what they do."

그들은 알지 못하나이다 / 자기네가 무슨 짓을 하는지"

 

While on that cross, / thousands of angels pull their swords

그 십자가 위에 있는 동안, / 수천의 천사들이 그들의 칼을 빼 들고

 

ready to come and rescue him.

와서 그분을 구출할 태세였습니다.

 

He said, / "No, I'm dying / for the sins of the world."

그분은 말씀하셨습니다, / "아니다, 나는 죽는 것이다 / 세상의 죄를 위해."

 

And he loves you so much

그 분은 당신을 너무나 사랑하셔서

 

that if you had been the only person / in the world,

만약 당신이 유일한 사람이었더라도      / 세상에서

 

he would have died / for you.

그분은 죽으셨을 것입니다 / 당신을 위해서
