"요한복음 5:36-5:38 Good News Bible"

 

 

36)But I have a witness / on my behalf

나에게는 한 증언이 있습니다 / 나를 위한

 

which is even greater / than the witness that John gave:

훨씬 더 큰             / 요한이 주었던 증언보다

 

for what I do, / that is, / the deeds my Father gave me to do,

내가 행하는 것, / 즉,    / 나의 아버지가 내게 하라고 주신 행위들,

 

 

these speak / on my behalf / and show that the Father has sent me.

이것들이 말하며 / 나를 위해  / 아버지께서 나를 보내셨다는 것을 보여준다

 

37)And the Father, who sent me, / also testifies / on my behalf.

나를 보내신 아버지께서          / 또한 증언하신다 / 나를 위해서

 

You have never heard his voice / or seen his face,

너희는 결코 그분의 음성을 들은 적이 있거나 / 그분의 얼굴을 본적이 없다

 

38)and you do not keep his message / in your hearts,

그분의 말씀을 너희는 간직하지 않고 있다 / 너희 마음속에,

 

for you do not believe in / the one whom he sent.

왜냐하면 너희는 믿지 않기 때문이다 / 그분이 보내신 자를

"And I say to you, / said Jesus,

"내가 너희에게 말하노니, / 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다,

 

Ask, / and it shall be given to you. 

구하라, / 그러면 그것은 너희에게 주어질 것이다

 

Seek, / you shall find.

찾으라, / 너희는 찾을 것이다

 

Knock, / and it shall be opened to you. 

두드리라, / 그러면 그것은 너희에게 열릴 것이다

 

For everyone who asks / receives,

이는 구하는 누구든지     / 받을 것이요,

 

he who seeks / finds,

찾는 그가      / 찾을 것이요,

 

and to him who knocks, / it shall be opened.“

두드리는 그에게,          / 그것은 열릴 것이기 때문이다"

 

Therefore / we are to ask.

그러므로  / 우리는 구해야 합니다

 

And the Greek says, / “Keep on asking.”

그리스어는 말합니다,  / "계속 구하십시오"

 

We are to seek / in our praying.

우리는 찾아야 합니다 / 우리의 기도에서

 

“Keep on seeking.”

"계속 찾으십시오"

 

We are to knock.

우리는 두드려야 합니다

 

We are to keep on knocking

우리는 계속 두드려야 합니다

 

until we are broken,

우리가 부서질 때까지,

 

until we are shameless.

우리가 뻔뻔해질 때까지
