16)When evening came, / Jesus’ disciples went down to the lake,

저녁이 되었을 때,         / 예수님의 제자들은 호수로 내려가서

 

17)got into a boat, / and went back across the lake

배를 타고,            / 호수를 되 건너갔다

 

toward Capernaum. / Night came on,

가버나움을 향해    / 밤이 되었고,

 

and Jesus still had not come to them.

예수님은 아직 그들에게 오시지 않으셨다

 

18)By then / a strong wind was blowing

그러는 사이 / 한 줄기 강한 바람이 불어와 물을 휘 젖고 있었다

 

19)The disciples had rowed / about three or four miles

제자들은 노를 저었다          / 약 서너 마일쯤

 

when they saw Jesus / walking on the water,

그들이 예수님을 보고  / 물위로 걸어 

 

coming near the boat, / and they were terrified.

배에 가까이 오시는 것을 / 그들은 혼비백산 하였다

 

20) "Don’t be afraid." / "it is I!"

"두려워 말라."         / "나다!"

 

21)Then / they willingly took him into the boat,

그러자   / 그들은 기꺼이 그분을 배 안으로 모셔 들였고

 

and immediately / the boat reached land

즉시              / 배는 육지에 닿았다

 

at the place / they were heading for.

장소로       / 그들이 향하였던

"Prayer"

Ye have not / because Ye ask not.

여러분은 갖지 못합니다 / 구하지 않기 때문에

 

We have to ask (for a) / posture of righteousness.

우리는 구해야 합니다    / 의의 자세를

 

Now we can just get up, / leave church,

이제 우리는 그냥 일어나서, / 교회를 떠나서,

 

and be just as prayerless / as when we came in,

똑 같이 기도하지 않는 상태가 될 수 있습니다 / 우리가 들어올 때처럼

 

though we’ve heard Jesus’ clear teaching / on prayer, / can’t we?

비록 우리가 예수님의 분명한 가르침을 들었는데도 / 기도에 관한 / 그렇지 않아요?

 

We just go / and say,

우리는 바로 가서 / 말합니다,

 

"The master’s on today.

"오늘 사장이 근무야

 

I’ve gotta go to work.

나는 일하러 가야 해

 

Kids are bothering me.

아이들이 나를 귀찮게 하고 있어

 

I told them / to be quite.

나는 걔들에게 얘기했어 / 조용히 하라고

 

They can go out / at three.

그들은 나갈 수 있어 / 세시에

 

But they keep bothering me, / bothering me, / bothering me.“

하지만 걔들은 계속 나를 귀찮게 해, / 나를 귀찮게 해, / 나를 귀찮게 해
